Some new stuff I made and that is now in my Etsy shop.
This is a beautiful doll, hand painted, with a very interesting face. The hanging tassel is red coral beads. Red sari silk in the back.
This one is a white leg, I painted it myself, it was kind of pink. The faux-pearl element is vintage from Aviva, it is very intricate.
These are porcelain arms, with a little movement. I love these doll parts. I just bought a small collection of doll heads from Germany, I am waiting for them to arrive. The bigger heads make interesting statement pieces, a bit scary, but very beautiful.

Jo and Steph's wedding

Some great pictures of the brides and their necklaces! They look amazing, such pretty brides and the necklaces look great.

I am waiting on the silver bezel rings to arrive to make a new series, also bidding on some German antique dolls. No much work to show (yet), but soon I will have a new series. Also, the magazine gave me a four page spread, and it has my name in the cover! images to come. So much to come...

German Doll

I made a necklace with one of my dolls that still had rust and dirt from having being in the ground for more than 100 years.
I also made a pair of earrings with Hessonite garnet, and I like how they turned out. A bit rustic, but I like them. Free-formed by hand and wire-wrapped.
I was interviewed for an Italian blog, and it looks like the entry came out really nice. You can read it here. the questions were very inspiring.

Talking about interviews, the magazine from Mexico that ended up doing a 4 page spread about my work suppose to come out tomorrow. I can't wait to see it!

I am sorry I haven't been writing and showing you stuff, but I have a lot of work and I just started school, I am studying a post-graduate program to become an Expressive Arts Therapist. Last friday I went into a clothing store here in Vancouver and offer them my earrings collection - the tulip one - and they took it! that gives me courage to do the same in a couple places I have my eye on.

The woman who makes me silver bezel rings has finished with a large order, and my new collection of precious and semi-precious stones in the raw will be ready soon, just in time for the Christmas season.

I leave you three Etsy treasuries where my work has been featured.

Euri

I just found out that the three page spread in the magazine "Jewelry World" will actually be a four page spread! I am very happy with the way I answered the interview.

Also, one of the galleries in Mexico that carry my work is moving to a better part of town. Above, the picture of the owner, Euri Lorenzo, wearing one of my pieces from long time ago.

Wedding

So I was away in Montreal to attend the wedding of my dear friend Jordanna to her now wife Steph. They both wore necklaces from my collection. It was a beautiful wedding by a lake in the country, full of good food, loving friends, and magical nature.

A romantic baroque blue necklace

This piece has a home now. It suits Barbara very well!
The pieces that I sent to Mexico last week arrived today. One of my favorite pieces with a huge crystal broke, I think I need to find a better packing system, jewelry tends to be more fragile than it looks. I will have to wait until I go to Mexico to pick it up and fix it. Luckily enough, most other things got there OK. Now I have a huge collection in Mexico, and apparently, one more, possibly two more galleries will carry my work. Good times!

Vintage rhinestone ring

This is the last one of the assemblage rings I made. I love it so much I may keep it. It is made with a vintage rhinestone miniature brooch and an antiqued brass filigree ring.

Rhinestone rings

This are the rings I pasted together with the antiqued filigree backing. There is one more, and it turned out SO beautiful I think I may just keep it. I'll photograph it tomorrow.

Vintage rings

My friend Marina from fancifuldevices gave me some vintage buttons. I pasted them to blank antiqued brass filigree rings, and the results are beautiful, old looking. I was so happy with the results that I decided to make some rhinestone rings. this is what I came up with.

Work and more work

This is my newest work. In these, I am integrating crystals that I have soldered myself in various ways. I am going for an avant-garde Victorian tribal feel to the pieces. I am also integrating pyrite, freshwater pearls, and plenty of semiprecious stones.

I really like this one, it is called "Red and crystal".

This one is the most tribal one.

Anyways, I have been working a lot and I just love it. I am very pleased with the results.

Rings, rings, rings

I finally took some pictures of the rings I made. They are all silver plated with gold leaf in the inside, and different objects, cabochons and organic materials.

I am very pleased with this one, it is coral branch with a garnet cabochon that shines beautifully in the light.
This one has an ammonite fossil.
This one has a sea shell I found in the beach here in Vancouver.
This one has a moonstone cabochon that glows in the light.
This one has a branch of coral sea fan. I made two like this.

Rings

At last! I got my new resin in the mail. I had old resin, but after a test I did last week, I discovered that it had passed its shelf life, so I discarded it and ordered new one. I just finished a series of rings that were waiting for the resin to arrive. This rings are silver plated, but next time I make rings will all be sterling silver. More expensive for sure, but better quality. I have a whole new idea of a series of rings with sterling silver. I need to wait 24 hours to see how this series turns out though. It's looking good! They are all silver plated, with a gold leaf interior, and different objects inside. The gold leaf looks very nice with the resin, it really shines. More on the outcome tomorrow.
