These are some works I have made before going to Mexico for the month of December.
Filigree earrings with Swarovski crystals in peach color. A green vintage rhinestone piece with a soldered filigree dragon. A modern replica of a vintage rhinestone piece and a soldered bumblebee. This one has lampwork beads.
I am a visual artist with a BFA in painting from the National Center for the Arts in Mexico city and a BFA in Film Production from Concordia University in Montreal. I have a minor in photography, and I am currently studying Expressive Arts Therapy and Addictions Counseling.
I like to do collage and mixed media paintings using a combination of collage, acrylic paint, pastels and gouache. I consider myself an abstract painter, though my collage has elements of pop art and naive imagery. I like and really enjoy outsider art as well as conceptual art.
I am also a mixed media jewelry artist who utilizes found objects and gets inspiration from antique and rusty things. I re-purpose old relics to create statement, one of a kind pieces full of history and mysterious charm.
